Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, the message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view

This site does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jefferson County Circuit Court, Oregon State Police CJIS, and the Oregon State Police Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention schedule, and disclosure practices govern information entered there; this policy does not. Read those terms before sending a query because we do not control the partner's processing.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agency sites, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
